Awesome food, awesome people. Thanks! Salads are made to order with high quality ingredients and the team behind the counter is great to deal with. They always have upbeat attitudes and offer great customer service A tad on the pricey side, but it hasn't kept me away.

I eat here a lot. As I am writing this my office mate is making a run over there. The salads are always really good. My one complaint is how dirty it can be at times (I posted a pic the last time I was there). I've never had a bad salad. Not a big fan of their soups. The humus has crazy garlic in it (fyi). YUM!

Great option for a fast, healthy, vegetarian lunch! Yummy salads & sandwiches, $6-8 each. Nice assortment of a la cart side dishes (pita & hummus, better-than-average side salads, etc) for $1-2.50 each. Good kid lunches, too, w/ multiple entree options (PB&J, grilled cheese, mac & cheese, etc), bev, fruit salad or cookie for $4.25 -- both dad and 6-yr-old approved!

This was my first visit to Mad Greens and I was surprisingly disgusted. First, the service was horrible. I had to wait about 15 minutes to put my order in and I was first in line the entire time. I went at 11:30 to avoid the lunch crowd because I needed to get back to work, but it still took 30 minutes for the whole transaction. The staff was friendly when they were talking to me, but very disorganized with their work. I noticed that the people preparing my food were not wearing gloves, nor had I seen any of them wash their hands. I did see them touch their face several times and then go back to the food. I'm not a germaphobe by any means, but this didn't boost my appetite. Once my food got down the line, I had to read from the menu the ingredients in the salad that I had ordered because she didn't know them. And finally, I can't say that I was please with the price. I got lettuce, onions, blue cheese crumbles and walnuts for over $7. That is an obscene amount to may for a vegetarian salad that is barely filling. The food itself was decent. Not worth $7, but not utterly gross. I will not go to this restaurant again unless I have a coupon and a desire to catch whatever illness these workers are wiping off their faces.

Their food is quite good, but ridiculously expensive! Even with a BOGO free, it was too much to pay for a small sandwich and a bowl of lettuce (with 3 cherry tomatoes and a few croutons).

As my first experience in a Mad Greens today, I was very impressed. The manger Christine was very friendly and could answer all my questions regarding the menu. I got the Ty Cobb salad and loved it. The staff was very friendly and I will definitely come back.

Mad Greens has become my go-to lunch spot. I'm watching what I eat, and I can count on getting tasty, fresh, high-quality salads there. The staff is friendly, the price is reasonable, and it's healthy food. What more could I ask for?

I usually like this place for a quick salad/sandwich...today the lettuce was going bad. Ick!

The last time I was here the service was considerably more friendly. I did a take out for my salad and when I was eating it at home I came across a rock in my mouth that was in the salad. Thank goodness I did not bite down on it hard. I am going to make an effort to make this latest visit my last visit at this location. I love Mad Greens but I will go to the Mad Greens in the Oldtown/CSU area despite parking being harder to access. I do not need chipped teeth, thank you very much!

Wow!! This place was amazing. I have been to mad greens before but this was my favorite visit BY FAR!!! I was greeted by a smile and welcome which was extremely refreshing! They had everything I could ask for! As a vegetarian they were quick accommodate my needs!! The staff was very quick and professional. I even met the manager Christine, she was extremely helpful in recommending food since I am a veghead I will DEFINITELY RETURN!!! I can not wait to bring my fellow herbivores

MAD Greens is sort of the 'Chipotle' of salad bars- only healthier. They offer a a variety of delectable choices or you can build your own salad. The staff is helpful and the service is always quick. The portions are ample, too- the 'regular' salad is plenty big for me but I can see how others may spring for the 'big' salad. After trying most of the menu, my two favorites are the Edgar Allen Poe and the Da Vinci- these two salads are light yet very flavorful. The add-ons are great, too! I love the warm pita bread and hummus. The iced teas are also nice refreshers- especially in the summer. If you have not tried MAD Greens yet, you're missing out!

I've only been to Mad Greens a few times, but after my last experience I will become a more frequent visitor. I experienced customer service beyond expectation when Logan helped me decide what to get. He was extremely helpful in explaining the products and how most of their food is locally sourced, going into detail about many menu items. He was friendly and willing to answer any question I had and had a good sense of humor, making me feel very welcome. Great job Logan!

Craving salad? This is the place! I feel healthy after eating here, not stuffed and gluttonous. My summer salad choice is usually the "Don Quixote" with mango, corn and jack cheese. The fall choice is the "Crazy Ivan" with roasted beets, pumpkin seeds and goat cheese (can get a bigger one at a new sit down spot in town for less than they charge for a small). Veggie Hamlet panini is good but ingredients seem a little skimpy. $10 bucks for a small salad and half a sandwich is a bit pricey IMO. Been on a veggie kick but meats, mushrooms, tuna and tofu are available as add ins. Also have soups, paninis and pasta salad.

My first experience with a Mad Greens came yesterday afternoon. I had my reservations because nearly everyone I had talked to said something along the lines of, "It's good, but really expensive for what you get." Cheapskate that I am, things like that make me nervous, but my boss was paying, so I was all in. ;) First off, the location is great! Finally, a healthy option in the southeast part of Ft. Collins! The brand new building looks beautiful, and if you want a salad, but your compadres don't there is a Chipotle and a Spicy Pickle in the same structure. The staff working when I went in was very friendly and created a very welcoming environment. The menu is easy to read, and easy to understand, and the prices listed were much less than I expected from the rumors I had heard prior to coming in. Most of the salads seemed to be in the 4-7 dollars range (depending on size), sandwiches/paninis were in the 4-8 dollars range (depending on size), and combo meals were 7-10 dollars. A bit more expensive than fast food, but still not bad considering a pre-packed, iceberg lettuce salad at the grocery store is $5. I did see how you could "accidentally" get yourself a $13 salad though, especially if you "create your own". Meat adds on a couple bucks to each salad, and each "add-in" is 55 cents to a dollar. So, if you get a salad, plus meat, plus a few extra add-ins you could easily spend a LOT on a salad. But, hey sometimes you need to splurge. Just about everything you could ever think to put in or on a salad is here, and created right in front of you. As a nice touch they mix the salad for you in a big bowl, evenly disbursing all of the goodness throughout. I'll give Mad Greens a solid thumbs-up. Good tasting, fresh food. A friendly atmosphere and a good location. All signs point to me coming back here. Again, if you think you're going to walk out with a salad covered in anything and everything you want for $5 or less, you might be disappointed. But if paying $7-9 for a healthy meal is ok by you, definitely check them out.

On July 2 we went in for a much needed good salad after being on the road for 4 days with a softball team. Logan was our server, and has been previously mentioned, he excellent - out going, knowledgeable and forthright. We built our own (knowing full well that added ingredients would be detrimental to our wallet), and had the dubious honor of being told by Logan that he had never before built a salad that large! The ingredients are all fresh, and Logan can tell you about every one of them, from chopped portabella mushrooms to Colorado nuts (didn't have soup, so cannot make the "soup to nuts" comment), and was knowledgeable on all of their dressings, offering me a taste of the tarragon basalmic vinaigrette dressing - delicious! If you are looking for a great fresh salad teeming with wonderful condiments (and the artichoke hearts are water packed, not oil, bonus!) the Mad Greens is my recommendation. One cannot get a better salad anywhere else, and it was worth every penny to break the travel syndrome of high fat, high sodium, high calorie restaurant food. We will be back again before we leave for home!

This place is just ok... I really do like their salads but I always end up paying $12 by the time Im done adding things! I mean really, how can you charge so much for a salad? The service is just meh, seems like the people working dont really care too much and why would they. I do like the selection of salad fillers though, they have everything you can think of putting on a salad as long as you are willing to pay for it. For now this place has to remain a once and a while treat.

If your 8-year-old is requesting Mad Greens, they must be doing something right. The first time we ate here she was apprehensive, but when she saw that she got to pick everything that went into it, then ate as fast as a wolverine, she was completely sold. Mad Props: Huge selection of what goes in, plus some extra sangwiches and soups. They'll ask light, medium or heavy for the amount of dressing so your salad is not a sloppy mess, or is - just how you want it. The dip that comes with the panini's... Heaven. Mad Downers: Can be a bit pricey one you start adding in extra toppings - bacon is apparently a commodity in this store. All natural, good for you, and your kids are gonna love it. Mom would be so proud.

How does your garden grow? This place has the salad bar I've always dreamed of.....but not so practical for the home kitchen. There have literally everything you could possibly want to put on your salad, and over 20 creative dressings--that makes just under a hundred items. I don't know about you, but I have a huge fridge, and still wouldn't have enough room for all those options. If you are feeling creative, design your own salad. For the indecisive, start with one of their cleverly named combinations. I chose the small Dionysis salad (Greek, just in case you couldn't figure that one out) and the whole Carl Spackler Club Panini, more than enough for a lunch for 2. I don't know who Carl is, but his panini was yummy! Next time I want the Don Quioxote salad, and I might try the soup of the day. They serve the small salads in big stainless steel mixing bowls, and the large salads in GIANT stainless mixing bowls. I'm totally stealing that idea 'cause the "salad bowls" that you buy in the stores are just wrong. I want a SALAD, not just a few leaves of green, and Mad Greens gives it to me good!

If it hasn't been evident in all of my reviews, I'm not much of a salad person. I don't think I've ever ordered "just a salad" for a meal going out and come to think of it, the only time I eat them is if they are sides or part of a course on an event dinner menu. It's not that I have anything against vegetables. Completely the opposite, in fact. I love vegetables. However, salads just don't do it for me. They are never big enough, never filling and leave me hungry a few moments later. I even discourage my personal training clients from eating salads as a meal, encouraging them to eat them as sides or snacks (because you have to eat a massive salad to get enough calories). Since eating at Mad Greens, I think my perception has changed. Service was incredibly friendly as we went down the line of vegetables and ingredients, each one being scooped with a measuring cup that looked to be about the size of 1/3 or 1/2 of a cup. At the end when the salad was ready to toss with dressing, I was asked if I wanted light, medium or heavy dressing. My husband wanted his drowning in ranch, so after a long squirt from the bottle, I was asked if that was enough. I opted to go for medium coverage on mine since I still wanted to taste the vegetables. I liked that they double check to make sure you have the dressing to your preference. The rest of the meal was good - fresh vegetables and everything was tasty. At first, every bite was just spinach but then I got to the bottom and all of the yummy add-ins were waiting for me at the bottom marinating in the small amount of dressing (or the large pool, in my husband's case). On those night's where we don't feel like cooking and it's the day before grocery shopping (and we have no produce in the house), Mad Greens is a great option to have. I would totally have a salad for dinner again (I've been converted!) and my husband can still get his meat and potatoes drowning in ranch. Yum.

I've been here twice and have enjoyed the Ernest Hemingway (spinach, almonds, red onion, mandarin oranges, cucumbers) and the Don Quixote (baby greens, mango, avocado, corn). They have a large variety of ingredients that makes me want to go back and try more! Plus someone obviously had a great time naming all of their dishes. =) Update: Went a third time and made a custom salad. Yum!!

Love this place. Can hardly go a week without dropping in for a salad. Love the fresh dressings and the greens are super fresh also. Can get pretty busy at noon time. The Carl Spackler Club is my sandwich of choice. I tend to lean towards the Chipolte Caesar dressing on most my salads. My wife tells me the vegetable soup is very good. Highly recommended!

Solid place for a light lunch. I've gotten the Mad Molly Brown and the Veggie Hamlet panini a few times. They're both tasty. You do get pretty good portions, so I think the prices are in line. They make the salad right in front of you so you can be vocal about how much dressing you want. There's tons of toppings to choose from as well.

Really fresh greens and appetizing options. It is a great place to get a fast salad. There are paninis as well. My favorite is the Crazy Ivan. I simply can't say no to goat cheese. Beware the add-ons; if you aren't careful you can end up with one extremely expensive salad.

I'm a meat eater... big time. I decided to give them a try and put my inner carnivore to rest for a quick lunch. I really liked it. I had a buffalo chicken salad (not sure what they called it) but it was great. I don't think it was very healthy because they piled it with blue cheese (at my request). I walked in wanting a wrap. I saw that printed on the door, but couldn't find it anywhere on the menu. I probably should have asked, but I left happy. I left feeling bad for the guy washing dishes. He has a new bowl for every customer. The 4 foot tall stack of clean bowls at the start of the line looks like a lot of work. I will go back to try new stuff. It looks like a place you could eat at 5 times a week for a year and never try the same thing twice. I like the options.

whoah, this place was a ton better than i expected! i'm used to cava greens in denver (so good.) and i didn't think i could really let myself love another salad bar place. i can! the thing about salads and i is that we hate each other. green things, no thank you. however, when i'm presented with a CHOICE of greens, a CHOICE of things i want on top, and a CHOICE of many many dressings, something flips and i love love love salads. mainly if i get to put whatever i want on (all fruit, anti veggies), they have a good selection of cheese (feta was the choice of the day), and they have honey mustard dressing. mad greens has all of these things, made me a friggin' amazing salad, and you pay by the topping, not by the weight, which i THINK is a good thing, i've never actually done the math.

I love Mad Greens for there salads and makes for a great easy lunch or dinner for my husband and I. I have never been disappointed by the food. Though I would say go to the location that is on college in Old Town. You will get much better service then you will at the Harmony location. Use to be we could get a discount here for being RAC members which was nice. One week we went no problem then the next week we were told that it is no longer honored and is only good at the college location. When I tried to ask when that had changed because it had only been a week. The employee went to ask the manager about the change and the manager just acted for very short with her and just said we don't honor the discount and couldn't answer my question and didn't even bother to come over to explain it. Then the manager just waived the employee off and walked away. I was not very happy about that, didn't look the manager cared at all. Went back again tonight since it was close to where we were headed. Guess they don't know how to manage inventory very well. Your biggest item is your salads and you have 2 sizes regular and big. We wanted to order the big size to go and they said sorry can't do that we don't have bowls for that size and we could only get the regular. Didn't seem like the employees even really cared at all. Once my husband went to pay he had to fight for a discount because we couldn't order what we wanted. We will now always go out of our way to avoid this location at all times. I recommend their food any time just make the trip over to the Old Town location. They are always very pleasant and have there act together.

This place should be called RAD Greens! The creative concept, the fresh ingredients, and the personable staff translate to a great experience and tasty meal.

  • Anderson L.

This place is overpriced and has tiny portions. Their paninis are pre-made they just put them in a panini press before serving them. C'mon, just put the ingredients on the bread when it is ordered! Just a food chain trying to appeal to the health and weigh conscious demographic. I had to go to Alley Cats and grab a muffin immediately after leaving because I was still hungry. Starving yourself is not the ideal way to loose weight or become healthy.

Nice to find a place, where eating healthy is made easy. They do have a wide variety of salads and pita choices. The lemon curry dressing was very good, and they do offer some meat choices to be placed in the salads.

Healthy eating is ALWAYS a good idea! I have tried and liked most things on the menu and when I got a bad recommendation, they replaced it with something I liked without any fuss! I regularly visit both stores but this one is my favorite.

Salad and soup were okay--pretty good, although my whole table's soups were cold when we got them. Service was friendly and helpful. Salads have creative names and come in generous portions!

I love places that pick a niche and just do it really well. It's why you should never order seafood at a steak place, or steak at a seafood place. If you want steak, go to a steakhouse! Any way, Mad Greens excels at custom ordered salads. 60 or so ingredients (very fresh), 20 different kinds of salad dressing, various kinds of grilled meat you can add, etc. If you're a frequent traveler like me and always on the lookout for a good place with healthy food, this is a great place to go for lunch.
